SAMSUNG 32DM80 Monitor camera is not registering under hardware in my System Report

I'm connecting my new monitor to my MacStudio, but the camera isn't working in FT or Zoom. In my System Report > Hardware>camera, no camera shows up.

I've already many remedies in the forum, have tried:

• Removing hdmi cable, replacing it with a USBC-USBC cable, using the remote for the monitor, resetting the USC Port setting from MD80 to USBC, restarting, no visual at all.

• Returned to HDMI-HDMI cable, reset setting in USB port to DM80, restarting.

• Detaching and reattaching the adapter to the camera to make sure it was secure, then attaching to the monitor, making sure it is secure.

Mac Studio, macOS 15.2

Thanks. I think the cable did the trick as you suggested. After that, it was a matter of figuring out which configuration of settings in the Samsung menu worked. Samsung tech support leaves a lot to be desired as far as Macs go, but we've been in and out of all those connected devices settings, etc., and figured out that under the USB port set up, there are 3 options: automatically, Smart Monitor, and USB. When we tried USB with the USB cable they provided it didn't work. With the better cable you suggested, when we went back in a second time and switched it to USB, it seemed to do the trick. The camera was finally showing up in my system hardware in System Report. Huge sigh of relief. Thanks again for the excellent help.
