Apple Intelligence is not available on my iPhone even after updating to iOS 18.1

• Your 16 Pro Max may have been manufactured for the China (China/Macau/Hong Kong) markets. And if it was manufactured those markets, Apple Intelligence won't be available until or IF, it is ever approved there.

I fixed mine. I went to Language and changed it from English United States to English Canada, and it started loading immediately.

I am currently on iOS 18.3, but the issue was still there…until I changed the language to English Canada.

Change the siri language to English US. Then it ill work

Changing the language to US English in settings —-> language & region sorted my issue

it only currently works on phones that regions are set to United States

change your region by going to

settings-general-region/languages

change to United States and then you’ll see the option to join the waiting list 👍

Good Job! Yes, Apple Intelligence is an opt-in feature that you must actually turn on. Ironically, some users think that it is turned on by default and complain that Apple if forcing this feature on them, which you know is not the case as you don't have it if you do not turn it on.

It was nice having AI, then so frustrating when it stopped working after updating to 18.2. I saw your comment and changed the language from English United States to English Canada and it immediately had AI again. Thank you! 😊

There are many reasons, but you just have not offered any information to let you know which one it may be:

• Device manufactured for China distribution
• Language on device not set to a supported language
• Siri Language not set to supported language
• iPhone model not supported
• iOS Version not supported

I was facing similar issue. It got resolved once I changed the system language to US English from the local language
