Did you sign into the waitlist? Have you been an accepted?
Settings>Apple Intelligence & Siri>Apple Intelligence.
Is your iPhone on the list that supports it, 15 Pro onwards?
Was your phone bought in a country where it can be used, not EU, not China?
Is your device language and Siri language set to the supported language English US?
In the setting Apple Intelligence & Siri, what is the text under the setting title, does it give a reason why it is not available?
If your region or your language is not set to United States, or English (United States), it may not work. Since the Apple Intelligence features are only available on the US for now, you might not get the updates if your region is different. Hope this helped and feel free to ask questions!
Hi @atiqullah you should be able to get Apple Intelligence with a phone bought in the UK. I have one from the UK too and I enabled Apple Intelligence by changing the device language and Siri language to English (United States). You don’t have to change the region and you can leave that as UK.
You can get the English (United States) version of Apple Intelligence in the UK now if you are prepared to change the device language and Siri language or you have to wait for 18.2 for the English (UK) version of Apple Intelligence. You don’t have to change the region and you can leave that set to UK.
I was having the same issue with the Apple Intelligence and Siri option nor the waitlist showing up in settings. I just updated to 18.1.1 and the Apple Intelligence and Siri option shows up as well as the waitlist. iPhone 16 pro max.

I fixed it guys. I had to go in the setting and start it. It doesn’t come with it stated. Go to it in your general settings. Glad to be of help. We all have it. lol
Good Job! Yes, Apple Intelligence is an opt-in feature that you must actually turn on. Ironically, some users think that it is turned on by default and complain that Apple if forcing this feature on them, which you know is not the case as you don't have it if you do not turn it on.
I have a iPhone 15 Pro and I updated to iOS 18.1. I cannot find ANY apple AI features at all. No revamped Siri, no photo smart eraser, no text summaries, nothing. This seems like 18.0 exactly to me. It said it successfully installed 18.1... but I get nothing. Help???
I brought an iph 16 Pro Max because of Free AI and it is not available for writing help and Siri got very confused lately and can not understand anything I say
I do not like it as much as I liked my iph max pro 13
I experienced the same problem and it annoyed me, after the 18.2 update all you need to do is make sure your phone is connected to WIFI and it is connected to power(charging) while that happens a support for apple intelligence will download and your apple intelligence will be up and running again
Steps to Enable Apple Siri and Apple Intelligence:
1. Check Language and Region Settings:
• Go to Settings → General → Language & Region.
• Ensure the language (e.g., US English) and region match.
2. Update to iOS 18.2:
• Go to Settings → General → Software Update.
• Download and install iOS 18.2.
3. Enable Beta Features:
• Ensure at least 7 GB of free storage (check under Settings → General → iPhone Storage).
• Go to Settings → Siri & Search → Siri and Apple Intelligence.

I downloaded the new update18.1 but still did not get the new Apple Intelligencein my 16 pro Max
The detailed requirements are in the image in the reply immediately above yours.
If you bought a grey-market dual-SIM iPhone (originally China mainland), no Apple Intelligence is available, for instance.

I’m on iOS 18.3 but I don’t even have option of apple intelligence & siri I only have Siri
Do you meet all the other requirements in the article on how to get Apple Intelligence that's been linked to many times in this thread?
It was nice having AI, then so frustrating when it stopped working after updating to 18.2. I saw your comment and changed the language from English United States to English Canada and it immediately had AI again. Thank you! 😊

If you don't want to use Apple Intelligence, simply open Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri and turn the switch off. That seems pretty simple, wouldn't you agree?
