iTunes app not registering playlist name changes MBP Sonoma 14.6.1 (Family Sharing Off)

I rename my playlists in iTunes and sometimes it'll even show it changed in the middle of screen if you click on the playlist but never in the sidebar? I've rebooted, restarted, made sure Family Sharing is off...I'm out of ideas.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Playlist problem complaints are proliferating on Apple Discussions and Reddit. 14.7.1 (non-beta) came out last night. It also does not fix the problem. I heard the same was true for the latest Sequia. I'm feeling quite depressed at this point, since Music/iTunes is a critical part of my music production workflow, let alone listening habits.

SOLUTION: Well, Apple deleted a link to the solution (that also contains a screenshot to be helpful). The short answer is that, to get around this problem, we are forced to add Playlist artwork (or select one presented) when renaming or creating a Playlist. If you add or select artwork, the title and sidebar will update, and your changes was be present after restarting the app.

Nothing good to report from my end either unfortunately. Same issues persist. I have a DJ gig coming in less than 2 weeks too so even more disappointed in Apple’s lack of action on this (or at least what feels like a lack).

I guess it’s clear someone like me isn’t their target customer at this point which is fine but I’m just not finding the right alternative to switch to thus far.

I'm still curious if we all have a shared 3rd party app that's causing the problem.

Here's a list of ALL my 3rd party apps. Please share if you have any of these on your own MacBook Pro.

VLC

Handbrake

Speedtest

Adblock Pro

Dropbox

xACT

Transmission

Audio Hijack

The Unarchiver

InVisible

Express VPN

Macs Fan Control (only on my older MacBook Pro, not my new one)
