All my notes have disappeared

Earlier today, I opened my notes app to find that all my notes have been reduced to zero. Both restarting the app and restarting my phone have failed to retrieve them, and I’m too scared to delete the app and redownload it since I fear that will officially delete them forever.

The thing is, the amount of space the notes app is taking up hasn’t changed at all. I have been struggling with having enough storage space on my device and have dealt with it by deleting or offloading a few apps whenever storage is full again, so I thought that the notes might have been deleted to gain more space, but no space has been gained.

I don’t think I have a backup saved of my notes, since I don’t remember saving a backup of my phone anytime recently. I’m really scared of losing these notes, I have so many things on them I need, so I’d appreciate all the help I can get. Thank you!
