Scam or Fraud: SCRL Photo Collage Maker

I am an avid customer of Apple, writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the SCRL: Photo Collage Maker app's misleading marketing and unfair subscription charges. As someone who values the Apple ecosystem, I signed up for a 7-day trial but was charged for a full year without consent.

This practice appears fraudulent, as I intended to assess the service during the trial period. Charging upfront for a year when I intended a week is both disappointing and concerning.

I also tried to seek a refund from the SCRL app itself and here’s what I found on their FAQ’s tab on settings, that state: “Since all subscriptions are handled by Apple, we are not able to offer refunds. To contact Apple regarding an issue with one of your purchase.” Contrary to what an Apple Support agent say when I got called to, that they have no control anymore regarding my request that I need to go to the developer instead.

I demand a full refund of the subscription fee. It is disheartening to feel taken advantage of as a loyal Apple customer due to a misleading marketing tactic that resulted in an unintended purchase. I expect a swift resolution to this matter.

I’ve had the exact same issue just happened. They have “free trial” in their title while it was a weekly payment subscription. I assumed I was signing up to their trial and demand my money back. Contact me back asap
