Issue with Maps app and contact card

I updated my contact card with my home and work address, but on Maps they do not show up. Under the Favorites section in Maps, I click on Home or Work and it prompts me to open my contact card and says to keep it updated, which by the way is already updated. Then it just opens the contact card and nothing else. I cannot get the home and work address to pull from the contacts to the maps app.

I tried removing them, and adding them separately as an address in the maps app. Now they show up in the Favorites section. But they show up as an address. The moment I change it to My Home or My work, they open the contact card and add another entry as home or work, and I can just edit it and save it. I tried saving , and they still did not go though to the maps app.

Also, now in my contact card, the address that I have updated shows a map next to them, but when I click on it , it opens the Map app, but the actual location is somewhere else on the map, not on the address I entered. I don't have any way to refine the actual location and save it.

Any way to resolve these issues?

Hi prashunjit,

Have you tried closing the Maps app completely and opening it again to see if this information updates properly? How about restarting your iPhone? This can resolve some minor software issues. We also recommend keeping the device up-to-date when possible. You can learn how here:

"Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

  1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
  2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
  3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
  4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install."
