Desktop links only open in Safari after last Mac Book IOS update

Desktop links only open in Safari after last MacBook Pro IOS update a few days ago. I have Chrome set as the default browser and links from my mail client open in Chrome but the links on the desktop only open in Safari. If I open the info window on the link icon I can not change the open with drop-down setting. 13.1 (22C65)

Saved web links always open in safari even thought it's not my default browser I found a similar thread searching but there did not seem to be an answer. I save a web address from Firefox (my default browser) by dragging the title to my desktop. Later I click on that link and it opens in Safari. If I go to "Get info" it shows under "Open with" that the default to open this file type .webloc is Safari. And this window is greyed out so I can not change this. Yes, I unlocked the padlock in "Get Info" but it is still greyed out. And yes, I did check and my default browser is Firefox not Safari. Thank you.

Links not switching to browser desktop Hi, I have several desktops. To make it easier on myself I run different apps in different desktops i.e. 2-3 apps per desktop. I've noticed recently that when I clink on a link in non-browser app like mail, slack, whatsapp etc, the link opens in my default browser, but it does not switch to the desktop where the browser window is. Everytime I open a link, I have to go/switch to browser desktop to see the link. If I have a browser desktop in the same desktop as the non-browser app, I can see it opening the link. It started happening only recently (possibly after upgrading to MacOS ventura; 13.0.1 but not 100% sure). This used to work before. I have an older mac (which I haven't upgraded yet) where it still works. Is there a setting that controls this behavior? Thanks for any help as this is very annoying.

Chrome set as Default Browser - Safari Still pulls up for links I have Chrome set as my default browser on my Macbook, however, all links open up through Safari. This just started happening recently. How do I fix it?

That's the current behavior of Ventura. As a workaround, control or right click on the .webloc file and choose a browser from "Open With".

Thanks I knew that option but when I contacted Apple support they didn't seem to know about the issue
