FaceTime gestures stop working in the 18.4.1 update.
Thumbs up, heart, balloons etc. can’t get the gestures to come up after the 18.4.1 update. Several friends having the issue as well.

i just figured this out. if you open control center while in a facetime call, at the very top it says facetime effects and shows a mic and camera and such. click that open, and its a menu id never seen before. at the bottom make sure facetime effects/reactions is turned on (turns blue)
