A fee months ago, when using FaceTime, if I made certain hand gestures it would generate emojis which appeared on the screen to me and the others. This function no longer exists. I have googled it and what I have found online does not correct this.
Fireworks, or hearts, or hand waves would appear depending on what I did live with my own hands.

Not sure what you have tried from the Google search, but for Reactions when using FaceTime, you need to check in your Control Center as detailed in this Support Article.

Initiate a FaceTime call first, then open Control Center and tap on the control that says Video Effects that has a video camera icon. It should be on top of Control Center. Reactions is one of the options you can turn on/off. The setting will persist for all future calls.

It is not in Settings, it is in the Control Center. Initiate a FaceTime call first, then go to Control Center and choose Video Effects.

I figured it out later on the day I posted this inquiry. It was a matter of going to Settings and returning reactions to the setting I wanted.
