why isn't my facetime effects working? i had the new update that involved fire works and confetti on the screen. now things don't not work.. why aren't things working!?

In iOS 17, these would be called reactions and not effects. Learn more about this here: Use video conferencing features on iPhone
We'd start by ensuring that the device is updated for the latest fixes: Update your iPhone or iPad
Keep in mind, these reactions only work when using the front facing camera.
Test out the issue again. If it continues to occur, then it would be best to contact Apple Support: Get Support They will need to take it from here.
