How can I access Apple Intelligence features on iPad?

I’m genuinely curious why the 10th gen iPad won’t have intelligence and the new Siri, I know it’s capable, there are workarounds, and I hear they preform great, is it apple trying to make u pay more?

For iPad, in addition to other hardware requirements (such as having an M-series or A17 Pro CPU), the device requires at least 8GB RAM. Your iPad10 has only 4GB RAM - and is therefore fundamentally incapable of supporting Apple Intelligence.

I do not care one bit what that Apple Intelligence compatibility list says, my iPad will get Apple Intelligence. I need about 4 more GB to do it, and I will get that update, I am not trying to be rude or threaten you or anything, I am just suggesting this.

It is impossible to increase the amount of RAM or internal storage in your iPad - as this is fixed during manufacture; what you have is fixed for the life of your device.

If your iPad model supports Apple Intelligence, it will have sufficient RAM and a supported CPU (i.e., M-series or A17 Pro). If your iPad doesn't have the required technical resources, there is nothing that you can do to change this.

I wish that Apple Intelligence comes in iPad 10 gen

You can wish, but your wish won't come true. I wish I'd win the lottery and I have a better chance of winning the lottery than you do of getting Apple Intelligence on a device which lacks the hardware required to run it. Sorry, but you'll have to buy an iPad which is capable of running Apple Intelligence if you want it.

On a 4GB iPad 10gen, this support site would be filled with these posts:

  • Why is Apple slowing down my iPad?
  • My iPad feels too hot?
  • My iPad battery drains too quickly now?
  • My iPad is now unusable, is Apple forcing me to update my device?
  • Can I downgrade after installing this update? No.

Software has always outpaced Hardware ever since the first computer and that will continue well into the future. That is the nature of technology.

Since Apple Intelligence features are ALL bundled into iOS, it's not likely Apple will start breaking them out to make them work with devices which can't support Apple Intelligence. Every year, Apple releases new features which are hardware dependent and never once have I seen Apple make features which are hardware dependent roll down to devices which lack the hardware required.

Yes, there are work around. But the ones I’ve personally seen are slow. I’m sure under limited circumstances the performance looks respectable. However, is it acceptable to the average user? How many law suites does Apple need to expose themselves to, to appease their customer base. Where is the line drawn? What’s acceptable to you is unbearable to others. Apple faces a situation where if your device slows down, you get sued. If you exclude some devices from features you alienate customers. The resolution takes people way smarter than me to resolve to resolve.

I’m totally sadden by hearing the chats around here, was too excited for apple AI to arrive and use the given set of features and got myself entry level iPad (10 gen),

I know that we cannot do anything rn with the specs but still I personally would love to see least smarter Siri with integrated AI or however it’s done, if we cannot have whole ai module then why not just trim it accordingly for A14 & 4GB RAM. (also because many bought these thinking latest generation iPads that would have upcoming latest features, which really does not seem to happen.)

Technology doesn't work that way. The new Siri is baked into Apple Intelligence. It's not a separate feature.

But feel free to tell Apple what you'd like to see here --> Product Feedback - Apple

So I got to this link from Apple Support Get started with Apple Intelligence on iPad - Apple Support
and the iPad shown is an iPad 10th gen. How do i see that? Welp, the bezels. So maybe in iOS 19 the iPad 10 will get Apple Intelligence..?

Hugely unlikely, but Apple may be hoping you'll find the features of interest enough to upgrade to a device which CAN run Apple Intelligence.
