Health app sync problem with iOS 18

Everything was syncing just fine with my iPad Air until I updated to iPadOS18. The health app refuses to sync. My iPhone 16 works perfectly, but not my iPad. I’ve signed out and re-signed in (yes, all my devices are on the same Apple Account), and I’ve even deleted and reinstalled the Health app on my iPad. Nothing works! Even the guy at the Verizon store couldn’t figure it out. I see from previous discussions that this has been a problem for a lot of people, going back to previous versions of iPadOS. Are there any answers yet?

Same issue for me. The log date in Health apps for last sync indicates that the iPhone sync well towards iCloud but the iPad doesn’t. Since IOS/iPADOS18. Roughly 1Gb data.

  • disabling and re-enabling Health sync does not fix the issue.
  • adding some data on the iPad like filling the mental health questionnaire is a way to force a sync but it is tedious
  • eventually I will open a ticket with Apple
