iPad Health app slow to sync data

My iPad updated to iOS 17.0.1 and installed the new Health app. My health data in iCloud took hours to download. I now find the data on it is about an hour out of date and even when it syncs doesn’t download the latest updates that’s on the iPhone

iPad Air, iPadOS 17

That information is not useful. I’ve spent hours chatting with Apple people. I’ve completely reinstalled iOS 17 on the iPad. No issues with my Apple Watch to the Health app on my iPhone 14 pro. When Apple introduced the Health app on the iPad I mistakenly thought it would be useful to see all the data, graphs etc on a larger screen. The synching via iCloud is totally broken and Apple does not recognise this. If other apps like the Notes app sync immediately through iCloud why doesn’t the Health on on devices

Hi. The Health App on the iPad is a waste of time, as far as I am concerned.

I just spent about 45 min. with an Apple support person, because the app is not syncing properly, since Sept. 22, when I transferred to my new iPhone 15. It also has the wrong name for one of my devices, and there is no way for me to correct this. The person from Apple said it may correct itself!! I am not convinced of that. Only time will tell.

I know it doesn’t sync right away. There seems to be a lag in the syncing of data. It syncs quite quickly from watch to phone. In the Health App on iPad (on iPadOS 17.1.2) it depends what you are doing. The summary will update some things quickly like activity, blood oxygen, exercise minutes, heart rate, and resting heart rate, and a few others. Others it only updates on a weekly average.

I don’t have a problem with that. I check those summaries, there is a very good explanation of how and why the particular activity is monitored.
