iPhone Touch Screen not working after download of - iOS 17

I recently downloaded the upgrade to the ios17. It took me a while to download because I had to delete some storage. So it was months before I downloaded it. I didn't have any issues initially but a couple of days later the touch screen stopped working. I took it to apple yesterday and they did not even open my phone or nothing. The guy claim that he can look at the edge of the phone at the top of it and could tell that the screen needs replacing.. I said how does something like this happen because my phone is in mint condition being that it has been in a protective case and never been dropped. He said something that it happens over time or if it is dropped or has water damage. I told him that My PHONE has been in an otter box case that has the case and the rubber material that goes over the case. Not to mention, it has never been dropped. It looks like a brand new phone. It has no scratches or dents. nothing...I got this phone in January of 2021 and the price of it, I expect it to last more than 3 years. The nonchalant attitude they took with me, I feel as if, they knew it was a software issue and was very familiar with the problem. I'm going back to SAMSUNG. I AM NOT ABOUT TO PATRONIZE APPLE IF THEY WONT TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR PRODUCT. If your software updates caused issues to people phone, they could at least have apologized and made it right to the consumer. I don't feel that a company should lie and not take accountability and put the responsibility on the customer. Especially when your phone cost over a $1000. If your making cheap phones then at least let the price reflect that.
