iPhone 14 Pro Max - Green Screen

Hello Apple Community,

Ugh - I am very disappointed! As someone who buys quality products expecting them to last, I am very disappointed with my iPhone 14 Pro Max which I financed for $1599 CAD over two years! I work in Suicide Prevention and I am a therapist, so my phone is a life-line - literally. I was on the phone with a colleague and suddenly my phone "flashed" and the green screen showed up. It now flickers and the touch screen still works but everything is green (I tested and the flashlight comes on when I press). The device refuses to shut down despite trying ALL of the reset ways.

I chatted to the chat-support and they walked me through several reset/restart options which did not work. Ao then, I organized a meet with Apple the next day (which is 45 minutes from my home) and waited for my appointment only to be told that somehow "It was caused by damage" and that they would not replace my device since I am at 2-years and 1 month (Purchased Jan 2023). The cost to fix it ranged from $400-500 so they said it's best I get a new phone. There is not a single scratch or dent on my phone. I don't get how I have a 2012 Macbook, and several newer apple products that have lasted 5-10+ years yet my iPhone lasted only two years. This is definitely a factory defect known by Apple which is obvious from a quick internet search. I did also just upgrade iOS software which I suspect overheated the product or short-fused it. Even within the Apple-Community forum there are hundreds of messages on this issue but they continue to gaslight customers - it's you that caused the damage.

I waited another hour to try and get a new phone (since I am desperate and I work in Mental Health which does not sleep), only to be told that they could not go through with helping me because of my Bell Exclusive Partner plan (Large Mental Health org I work for). This makes no sense - and now I am without a device. 5+ hours time lost of my life, $20 in parking, lost personal days at work, and maybe even more out of pocket for a new device. My only option is to again go into a monthly plan of financing or leasing - but I can't know if the issue is going to happen again or not since everyone is experiencing it. It's interesting that Apple stands by MOST of their other products (even outside of warranty) but not this one. Yet, I am expected to believe it was caused by some type of damage and not a defect, hmm. The Genius bar employee did not run any diagnostics and used only his eyes to determine this.

Buyer beware of $1500+ phones - quantity does NOT equal quality! What can I do now? I do not have $$ to be paying $1500-1800 every two years!
