iPhone 16 pro laggy and bad touch.

Hello everyone,

I purchased an iPhone 16 Pro a month ago. Since the first use, I have been experiencing issues with the touchscreen(ignored swipes) and occasional device slowdowns. Sometimes, the device becomes extremely slow, and the touchscreen requires multiple touches to respond. Occasionally, the phone does not work at all, and I have to turn it off and on again to get it to function.

I contacted Apple, and they told me it was a software issue that would be resolved with upcoming updates. However, even after updating the software, the issue persisted.

I contacted them again, and they suggested to sent the device to the lab, where they performed a restore and told me that it’s now work fine, and I could take the phone back.

unfortunately, I continued to experience the same issue. I reached out to them again, and they told me that it might be a hardware issue and that they needed my permission to open the device for an internal inspection. I told them I don’t want the phone to be opened because it is a new device, and I would like to either exchange it or receive a refund.

They responded that without opening the phone, they would not issue a refund.

I have used iPhones before; my last phone was iPhone 13, and it was a good phone and I never had to contact Apple about any problems.

Now, I regret buying this phone for such a high price. It is a terrible device. I know that not all units of this model have these issues, but it feels like a lottery—you either get a properly functioning device or one that doesn’t work well at all. And Apple doesn’t help you; instead, they waste your time going back and forth to the lab.

if you experienced the same issue what did you do?

Hello,

Starting the with iPhone 15 and continuing with the iPhone 16, differing screen technology makes screen presses much more precise. Previously you could press in the vicinity of a button and it would be activated, now you have to press exactly on the button or it will not do anything.

In terms of lagging, I've found that a restart almost always cures the issue.

For any other issues, if you reply back with exact details, we should be able to help. I've had numerous iPhones over the years and they continue to be a good value.

Good luck.
