Unable to print from Contacts app since upgrade to macOS Sonoma
Changed user, reloaded printer....nothing works. Just a twirling beach ball. Seems to be a common problem among users.

Having also had an hour's long but ultimately unsuccessful call with Apple recently about my inability now to set up a print from my Contacts' app on my 2022 iMac, I have tried all the suggestions made to date on these pages. The pdf option will allow you to print outside the app but I can't delete all the unwanted information for Christmas card labels. I was told by the Apple person I spoke to that I'd have to wait for a software update. I received one today (Sonoma 14.2.1) and installed it but it makes no difference. I'm concerned to see that others experiencing this problem have done so after installing updates. It's alarming to think that a manufacturer is finding ways to sabotage its own products!

Have you tried to merge them with pages like you are trying to print labels? I know that is a feature to connect the addresses into pages but I have not used it but could be a work around. Just use regular paper instead of labels.
You echo my sentiments perfectly. We’ve been loyal Apple users since buying an Apple IIC. Never had problems like we do now.
You can’t tell me these issues can’t be solved before releasing the updates……especially on our fairly new machines.
If you mean print out your contacts then open the contacts app while holding down the shift key and try agin. I have the same issue and no luck with any process. Seems to be Sonoma related. Had this issue after updating from Monterey.
Thanks so much for the advice. Holding the shift key did not help. I get the spinning beach ball...that never ends.
As far as the .pdf file to print: That's an alternative but useless if I want to print labels (which I was trying to do for Christmas cards) or any task on Contacts. I just don't understand why Apple releases these updates and so many people have immediate bad responses. My machine is a four year old 27" iMac and every one of the last 4-5 updates have trashed my machine. It now takes about 3-4 minutes to start up in a weird looking screen? These machines are too high priced for this type of aggregation.
This will work. Highlight the contacts you want to print then use the file, export as PDF to your desktop. Then you can print that file.
