Printer does not print photos on photo paper since updating to MacOs Ventura

What am I doing wrong?

I have the following problem since I upgraded to MacOs Ventura 13.4.1 (c)

When I want to print a photo, I click on File, then Print.

Then the screen shows the following sizes:

Fit               Fill

Custom.      8 x 10

5 x 7.           4 x 6

Contact Sheet

Then I choose: Photo on Glossy Paper and

one of the picture sizes (4 x 6)

The top of the screen shows:

HP ENVY Photo 7100 series. (My printer)

US Letter

Photo on Glossy Paper - Fine

Then the photo does not print on photo paper. It prints on regular  8-1/2 x 11 paper.

What could be the problem. Thanks for a reply.

I don't have that printer, but most printers I've used have an option in the Print menu to select which paper tray to use. My guess is your printer has a tray for photo paper, and another one for plain paper. Although you (properly) set the paper type, it's possible you didn't select which paper tray to use.

On my Canon AIO printer, it's found in the Media and Quality Print menu dropdown. There I can select which paper tray to print from.
