No Sent folder for POP3 account

I recently created a new POP3 account with a hosting service within the Apple Mail app in Ventura 13.5.1. No Sent folder was created for this account (i.e. cannot be found in the sidebar under the account or the "All Sent" in the Favorites section) and messages sent do not appear to be saved anywhere. How do I rectify this?

Please try the following:

  1. In Mail, from the menu, choose Mail > Settings.
  2. Click the Accounts tab.
  3. Select the POP account in the sidebar.
  4. To the right, click the Mailbox Behaviours tab.

Is there an option to set Sent Mailbox to On My Mac?

Note that with a POP account you can't store sent messages on the server. If you want to store sent messages on the server, or keep your inbox and custom folders in sync with other devices like a phone or tablet, you'll need to use IMAP instead.

Thank you for your response.

Only three fields are provided: (1) Erase junk messages [drop-down], (2) Erase deleted messages [drop-down]; and (3) Move deleted messages to the Trash mailbox [checkbox]. No other behaviors are provided.

I am not trying to store Sent messages on the server. I want to save them locally. When I created this account several weeks ago, it properly created a local Sent folder. However, because something started behaving improperly a few days ago, the hosting service recommended I delete the account and re-create it. However, after doing so, the re-created account does not have a local Sent folder. I want to rectify this problem.
