Apple translate cannot remember my choice of the original language and target language

Why apple translate app keeps asking about original language and target language while I look up some words in a very short article? Cannot it remember my choice in a minute?

Translate language issue When I select a word and it’s original language is often incorrect. I think a spelling could occur in different languages and that’s reasonable. I hope the original language could be chosen by user and run as default; or the translate function could choose original language base on the previous translation language. Thank you!

Downloaded languages are deleted automatically in Translate For many times, when I go to a place without signal and want to use offline translate, I only find the languages I’ve already downloaded are gone. It’s very annoying! Is there a way to solve this problem?

Settings > Translate > Turn Off on device mode > solved ☑️
