Downloaded languages are deleted automatically in Translate

For many times, when I go to a place without signal and want to use offline translate, I only find the languages I’ve already downloaded are gone. It’s very annoying! Is there a way to solve this problem?

Try turning on the "On-Device Mode" on in the Settings.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Apps
  3. Go to Translate
  4. Set On-Device Mode to ON

Also, verify that you have the desired languages downloaded by tapping on "Downloaded Languages". It will show the downloaded languages on the top. If you don't see your language there, tap the download icon next to the language and wait for the download to complete.
