Restore iPhone XS failed-declined to authorize this image on this device for this user?? How to fix?

I recently tried fixing an iPhone XS that was in a boot loop after installing a new battery in it and had previously been able to successfully restore this phone, but about five minutes after restore during initial setup again, it started doing the same thing again that was happening before restoring (which was a boot loop sequence). So, I installed a new battery into the phone that was charged over 70% and genuine Apple battery. Then turned on the phone which was currently displaying DFU mode screen and so I hooked it up to my MBP with MacOS Ventura 13.4.1 and ran it through the process. After the latest ios update had been downloaded to my computer, a few seconds into the preparing iPhone for software update/installing iOS software steps, an error message comes up on the screen saying Restore Failed-declined to authorize this image on this device for this user?? This is the first time in many years of doing this process on hundreds of iPads and iPhones that I've ever seen this error msg. What does this mean and how do you fix it?

By the way: we discovered that by unplugging the earpiece speaker, the phone then goes from boot looping to the initial setup screen and you can move on setting up the phone, but when you plug the earpiece speaker back in, the boot looping resumes--so it seems as if the earpiece speaker assembly is to blame for this particular instance but I can't seem to figure out why this error msg appeared or what it was supposed to mean...?

unplugging the earpiece speaker,

Probably you are using third-party apps and/or a third-party device.

If you are experiencing any difficulty with third-party apps or a specific website or a product then please contact the app developer or site publisher/host or the manufacturer directly. Here is how

  • To contact an App developer --> How to contact an app developer - Apple Support
  • To contact a web publisher —> Scroll Down to the bottom of the web page. You will find: Contact Us, Help Center, Support, Terms of use, etc.
  • To contact the Manufacturer --> Please read the manual that may have come along with the product.

Dear SravanKra-

thank you for your reply. However, I can't say that I understand your response in regards to my inquiry in terms of how a third party app or device applies to this situation...?? But, to clarify, during my attempts to restore the iPhone XS, I was using a genuine OEM Apple brand lightning cable (USB-C to lightning-which was actually the very same cable that came with my iPhone 13 pro and was functioning fine before and after use with this procedure) using my MacBook Pro 2017 with touchbar (13in 4 thunderbolt 3 ports intel i5 3.1ghz dual core) using Mac OS ventura 13.4.1 version and no additional devices plugged in at the times of restoring attempts in which the error msg above in the title was showing and would not restore the phone.

And , as stated previously, the replacement battery that was installed after attempts failed to restore with the original battery, was also a genuine OEM Apple brand replacement part with the Apple logo on it. So, the possibility of the failure for restore/error msg code due to a third party anything is highly very unlikely unless the owner somehow downloaded third party software which would require the process of jailbreaking the phone in order to have possibly done so due to security limiting only apple approved apps through the app store otherwise. And, being this phone belongs to a young teenage girl who isn't very tech savvy and doubt she even knows what it means to jailbreak an iphone much less have a reason to do that anyways, I don't think that is the situation either--though your input is appreciated and in some instances might apply, I'm doubtful that is the problem in my particular situation or why this error msg appeared and prevented me from restoring this device.

As for the earpiece speaker thing, I am not sure why unplugging the earpiece speaker has an effect on the ability to use the phone or stuck in a boot loop forever, but I've seen this same strange thing happen many times before on different model iphones if the earpiece speaker is unplugged the software is affected and or fixed seemingly until that part is plugged back in and at that time, the OS somehow gets affected and seems to be stuck in a boot looping sequence for some strange reason that is directly tied to that part and its functioning or lack thereof.

If someone k nows what this restore failure error msg means, or how to go about fixing it, please do feel free to share your insights. Thank you

******Update********

After discovering the earpiece speaker once unplugged allowed the OS to boot and enter into setup mode until plugging it back in, causing the boot loop sequence to again happen--it became apparent that the obvious thing to try was to replace the earpiece speaker part entirely with a new one and check to see if that somehow remedies the issue. After replacing the earpiece speaker with a new part, it seemed to do the trick and fix the problem. The phone now is functioning properly and has not since malfunctioned or resumed the boot looping sequence. Though this still does not answer my initial inquiry of what the error code that prevented the restore process to complete or what it meant?/??
