Preview window minimum width

The new update made preview windows have a minimum width where the window size cannot be decreased past the halfway point of a desktop. Is there any way to fix this? It makes it extremely difficult to fit multiple images on a desktop.

Cannot resize the Preview Window width. Is there a way around this? I am wondering why you are unable to resize the width of the preview window below ~22cm? It makes very little sense as you can resize the height to ~3cm. Is there some kind of setting you can access through the terminal to allow for a smaller width? Or something similar? At the very least I'm hoping for an explanation about WHY this nonsensical feature has been implemented as it appears it has been this way for over a decade. Why?

Minimum window resize in Preview With the new Ventura update, the preview app has had its minimum window width increased from previous versions. What this means is that when viewing a PDF or other file, the Preview window cannot be decreased past a certain width, causing issues with window overlap when viewing multiple windows at once. Is there a known fix or override for this?

There's two settings for Images and PDFs to define 100% scale. See if changing them helps.

Just to add, you have to close an image or PDF between the setting.
