HomeKit treats Dirigera as a bridge

Is anyone else using the Dirigera hub with their HomeKit? I saw the app listing it as a bridge instead of a hub, and I think that is why I can’t control it remotely over a cellular connection.

Hello Enigma112358,

To control your Home remotely with iPhone, you'll need to ensure that Home is enable in iCloud. You can learn more here: Control your home remotely with iPhone - Apple Support

Thanks.

Hi Enigma112358,

We understand that your HomePod and Apple TV are set as a home hub automatically, but are you able to control your home using the Home app from your iPhone? If not, what is the exact error message you receive, if any? Do you use the same Apple ID on all of your Apple devices?

If you’re still not able to control your home from the Home app, we recommend contacting Apple Support here: Apple Support

Take care.

I do not have a HomePod, or any of the devices I previously listed. I am using the IKEA Dirigera smart hub with smart home app enabled to the Home app. It works just fine with voice control while connected to my home Wi-Fi (any network my router uses is fine as the Dirigera is directly connected to my router). What I am trying to do is find a way to remotely control the hub while NOT connected to the network without having to purchase any of the aforementioned devices.
