AirPods Max won’t connect properly
Recently I’ve been having an issue where my AirPods Max (bought just a few months ago) have stopped connecting to my iPhone (iOS 16.3.1). When I put them on my Bluetooth settings say “connected” but nothing plays. I’ve tried repairing them, but they won’t go into pairing mode. The status light goes from white to green over and over instead of flashing white like it’s supposed to do. I’ve also tried resetting them about 15 times to no avail. The few times it did seem to successfully reset, a pop-up opened on my phone that said “Not your AirPods Max” and it said to hold the Digital Crown for a few seconds, but holding it didn’t work.
I couldn’t find anyone else with this exact issue, so here I am. Is it fixable? Am I at the point where I need to contact Apple?
