AirPods Max won’t connect properly

I have had the same issue since a recent update. None of the methods described work for me and my AirPods Maxes will not connect to any of my devices. Not phone, not iPad, not desktop. Not sure what the issue is but it is really frustrating as I use them constantly.

A. Start with an Update:

Update your iPhone to the most recent version. Seeing where things go form there: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

B. Single-Out this Device:

What happens when you connect these to another device? Do they work? On this current device, you'll have to remove it from your list of Bluetooth devices.
