I apparently have items awaiting download, but I cannot download them.

Hello,

After setting up my iPhone 14 Pro last night, and downloading several apps on it, I began to see the following message on my iMac while in my Account Settings in Music or TV.

In Music, nothing happens when I click "Download Now". Similarly, nothing happens when I click "Check for Available Downloads" in the "Account" dropdown menu, or "Reset" next to "Reset all warnings for buying and downloading". In TV, clicking "Download Now" or "Reset" will take me out of the Account Settings page and back to "Recently Added". I did get sent to a "Session Timeout" page one time after spamming "Download Now" but I cannot replicate it.

I restarted both devices, authorized and deauthorized my computer, and signed out and back in of my Apple ID on Music and TV. None of these fixed the issue. I know for a fact that I do not have any available downloads. I have not made any purchases, and most of the apps I downloaded to my iPhone do not have Desktop compatible app versions, such as Capital One, PayPal, and Twitch.

Even clicking "Support" in the iTunes Store section of Music does not have any effect.

I am running the latest versions of iOS on both devices.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Scott

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities Scott,

If you're seeing a prompt that you have items to download, but aren't able to see or identify them, and don't get a response when attempting to download them, we suggest checking hidden purchases to see whether undownloaded hidden items may be contributing to the count.

How to unhide music, movies, and TV shows on your Mac
1: Open the Apple Music app or the Apple TV app.
2: From the menu bar at the top of your computer, choose Account > Account Settings.
If prompted, sign in with your Apple ID.
3: On the page that appears, scroll to the Downloads and Purchases section. Next to Hidden Purchases, click Manage.
Where to find Manage in the Downloads and Purchases section on a Mac
4: Depending on what you want to unhide, click Music, Movies, or TV Shows at the top of the window.
5: Under the item, click Unhide.

These steps, as well as other helpful information, can be found on the following page: How to unhide music, movies, and TV shows on your PC

We hope this helps!
