I have recently updated my Apple Watch to WatchOS 8. After that I cannot pay using Apple Pay. After tapping the side button twice payment menu activates but any terminal reacts when Apple Watch is brought to it. Payment on the iPhone with the same card goes through. It looks like some NFC issue on the watch or something. Please help.

Actually the soft reset was enough. After turning the watch on again Apple Pay started working.

Tried hard reset several times but Apple Logo did not appear. There was only a very short ‘flash’ but that was it…. 😦
Check the Photos app on your iPhone. It sounds like you aren't doing it correctly and are taking screenshots instead.
