Watch OS 8 update - Apple Pay doesn't work

Hi everyone,

I updated my Apple watch about two weeks ago and I can't pay (apple pay) since then. I tried to delete all my credit cards and add them again. It didn't help.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Apple Pay not working after updating it to Watch OS 8 Hi All, I’m facing an issue in that none of my cards loaded into my wallet on my watch now no longer work after updating to Watch OS 8. Previously I used to get a message on the watch when paying which said “hold near card reader” or similar. This no longer appears on the watch and no payment is taken. The same cards are all loaded on my phone and all work fine. Tried multiple retailers and multiple cards, tried removing the cards and re adding, turning the watch of and restarting, but none of these things fix the issue. I’m completely stuck and can’t think what to try next? thanks Ian

After WatchOS 8 update Apple Pay is not working I have recently updated my Apple Watch to WatchOS 8. After that I cannot pay using Apple Pay. After tapping the side button twice payment menu activates but any terminal reacts when Apple Watch is brought to it. Payment on the iPhone with the same card goes through. It looks like some NFC issue on the watch or something. Please help.

I use Apple pay every day.

If it were me I'd unpair the watch from the iPhone then pair it back setting it up as new.
