Apple Pay on watch 5

Since I did the latest update a couple of days ago, Apple Pay is not working on my watch. I get a message “Updating cards. Apple Pay will be available when updates are complete “. When I check my wallet, my card is there and active. Not sure what to do with this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Apple Pay not working on Apple Watch This has become a problem after the latest update (watchOS 8.1). I go to pay with my watch like I have done for the past year and it immediately rejects the card. I try again using my iPhone and it works perfectly. I can't figure out why. Should I try to remove the card and pair it again?

sign out of your Apple ID on your phone and back in and then force reboot your watch.
