Apple Pay on watch 5

Since I did the latest update a couple of days ago, Apple Pay is not working on my watch. I get a message “Updating cards. Apple Pay will be available when updates are complete “. When I check my wallet, my card is there and active. Not sure what to do with this.

Any help would be appreciated.

sign out of your Apple ID on your phone and back in and then force reboot your watch.
