First Time Trying to Import a CD to Apple Music - Windows 11

Man, I miss iTunes. This Apple Music is a hot mess. I want to import CD's into Apple Music (now that iTunes is gone) on Windows 11. Not that difficult.

I stick the CD into the drive, and nothing happens. I select the ... at the top of Apple Music sidebar, and select library>add files to library>select all the tracks, and nothing happens. I also tried selecting the ... at the top of Apple Music sidebar, and then selecting library>add folder to library, and again nothing happens.

I tried right clicking on a track in Windows Explorer and selected open with>apple music. Nothing. I've tried dragging all the tracks from Windows Explorer across to the songs folder of Apple Music. Nothing.

Is Apple Music designed to make it difficult for those who have their own collection, instead of streaming? This will be an Apple deal breaker for me if that's the case.

Any help would be appreciated, please.
