Look for duplicates and/or Merge contacts unavailable

Neither of the “look for duplicates” or “merge contacts” feature is available, for the duplicate contacts issue. On an iPhone 15 with the latest updates installed, freshly restarted, and following all Apple recommendations. I spent hours reading through apple support, to find each and every thread with a generic, unhelpful, frustrating “solution” copy and pasted into each thread by an apple associate, and “recommended” by themselves, after which, they promptly closed the thread permanently.. doing so each and every time they come across a thread where Apple customers are searching for help within the community. Leaving everyone with no solution, every single time. Can anyone who actually wishes to provide tangible, useful help, provide assistance?

The built-in "look for duplicates" and "merge contacts: feature of Mac Contacts is not convenient. It can only merge all duplicates with one click, and there is no preview before merging.

Cisdem ContactsMate is a third-party professional contact management tool for Mac that is more powerful.

It can synchronize all your contacts from different sources, including Mac Contacts, Google Contacts, iCloud, CSV files, etc.

You can use it to scan duplicate contacts in your contact list. It provides 4 options to deal with duplicates: merge, delete, edit or ignore.
