Contact Merge Not Working - IOS 16.2

I’m sorry but this reply is useless. I have the same issue and my iOS version is up to date. I don’t have a Mac and therefore your suggestion doesn’t work. Also that actual article is not covering a fix for this issue.

You're having an issue with merging contacts.

We recommend checking out the steps in the section titled "Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly" from the article here: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

1) Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.

2) Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.

3) Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

4) If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.

5) Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

The reason we ask you to update your iPhone is because updating your device is an important troubleshooting step that can potentially resolve your issue since iOS 16.3 was just recently released.

Same!! Help please

Not helpful. Same issue persists despite updating and rebooting phone

+1. In fact, the merge contact link has now also disappeared. This is really a very immature feature it seems. I have over 8000 contacts with I think half of them duplicated. It’s really too bad that this doesn’t work well.

The Merge All is not working, but the Merge one at a time does work - unfortunately it will take me a month to Merge one at a time......
