iPhone screen goes black randomly while using apps

While actively using apps like Instagram or other apps , the screen suddenly goes black — but the device itself remains powered on.

I can tell the phone is still on because I can hear sounds (like music or voice messages), or feel haptic feedback if I tap the screen. However, the display stays black and unresponsive.

To bring the screen back, I have to press the power button twice:

Once to lock it

A second time to wake it back up

The issue is not related to auto-lock (I've tested with Auto-Lock set to "Never") and occurs randomly, even during active use.

I’ve already tried:

Resetting all settings

Disabling Raise to Wake and Attention-Aware Features
