How is the stability of FCP 11.1 on macOS 15.5?
I see that 15.5 is available for install. Tom, Luis, Joema, Ben, have you tried it with FCP 11.1?

Original Title: MacOS 15.5 and FCP 11.1?
It was reported on M2 Max and MacBook Pro M4 Air. I reproduced it on M1 Ultra. It might be Apple-Silicon specific. The test clip I used was 60 seconds, 4k/23.98 10-bit 4:2:2 HEVC. I plan on testing other codecs and machines, and isolating the version where this appeared (maybe 11.0?), but I haven't done that yet.
Since Apple Silicon was released, there have been several bugs specific to Apple Silicon (not Intel) and a few specific to M-series CPUs with multiple encode/decode units such as Max/Ultra. Recently, we had a bug reported that was unique to M4. So it can take considerable testing to feel out possible dependencies on specific M-series versions.
-To Ian-
Exactly how were the shape mask and Gaussian blur used and what was the media?
Media details.
OP provided media samples and library(version 11.1.1) *Deadline June 8th
-To joema-
Zip or compress file and upload to here: https://we.tl/r-SoCdwheEdK
Could not add. When I downloaded OP's Spindump.zip, an empty folder was displayed. Is this correct?
Spindump.zip
I could not download anything from that site. They need to use a well-known file-sharing site like Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer, etc.
I double-checked that the WeTransfer file request URL I previously posted is still active. It is. This one, which has not changed: https://we.tl/r-SoCdwheEdK
Note: this one is solely for *uploading* files, similar to a Dropbox "File Request Folder." It is not a general-purpose upload/download location. Only I can see uploaded files there, which if needed I will re-share to the group separately. This is for security reasons to prevent inadvertent spread of malware.
I can't read Japanese so those details are not helpful.
The media details items are the same regardless of language. There is no need to read the Japanese on the left. The important thing is the detailed information on the right.
I've provided a link to a sample movie. Ian, did you check the link? Did you download it?
I can't reproduce it.
I couldn't in my reply at the beginning of the thread (with screenshot) and I couldn't just now.
I have clicked on every part of the timeline but it has no effect on the playback.
Could it be because I am using 1080p50 as opposed to 4K at 60fps?
I couldn't understand where to click on the page that opened.

The link to the OP's question has already been provided. You can get the information you want on the Japanese site. Ian, have you looked at the Japanese site? I haven't put it on the US site yet, but I'm waiting for other information necessary for verification.
Thanks Ian and joema!
I can put guassian blurs and shape masks on a clip and FCP does not freeze.
Thank you for your verification.
Thanks Ian, I'll ask the OP to send me screenshots and the original media.
I'll try presenting joema's suggestion to the OP. Thank you!
I can't read Japanese so those details are not helpful.
What did the OP do with the media in the timeline . . . can you give a description of each step they took with the mask and blur?
I couldn't understand where to click on the page that opened.
Anyway the media details don't really concern me as I was more interested in the technique the OP was using to apply the mask and blur.
It could be the length of the 4K project.
My tests were done on a 2 minute 4K clip and a 25 minute 1080p project.
My tests were on an M2 and M4 mini.
