Why does my new MacBook Air M4 13' screen go black when waking from sleep by pressing the power button?

Hi, I bought my macbook air m4 just this march. When the laptop is in sleep mode, if I press the power button to bring it back, the display only lights up and shows up a little like a glimpse before going black again. Then I would need to press the power button again to get the display fully back.

Pressing a key works fine. Touching the trackpad only works if the macbook goes to sleep only for a few moments. But the power button has that problem. I dont know if itsnt working properly or something. Usually I dont use it when turning on or off my macbook. But if it has some sort of defect, it might not work in case if, say, the macbook freezes and I would need to forcefully turn it off pressing the power button. Or if macbook doesnt power on automatically wile lifting the lid and I might need to use the power button manually.

I have the same issue. I recently moved to a MacBook 13" M4 from a MacBook 13" 2020 with an Intel i5. My old one never had this issue, and I often used it with the lid open. I expect that when I press the power button, the Mac should turn on — not just flash the screen once. I don’t think this is a hardware issue, as the power button itself works fine.

Where can I report this as a bug?
