Wake up issue on Macbook Air M2

Hi, I'm currently having issue for my Macbook Air M2

Most of the time after the machine goes to sleep, it won't wake up. The screen is totally black. If the machine is connecting to the External screen. It will be like the macbook screen is off but everything is working. The keyboard backlit is still on. But the screen won't turn on only restart will fix the problem.

I updated to the latest os 13.4 (22F66) but still seem to occur.

Hello 9wa,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about issues with your Mac not fully waking up from sleep. We're happy to help.

First, we recommend starting with the troubleshooting in this help article: If an app freezes or quits unexpectedly on Mac - Apple Support

These steps go through basic software troubleshooting steps which may resolve the issue with sleep.

If you still have issues, next we need to check if the issue is also occurring in safe mode.  Please use this article: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Safe mode isn't a remedy as much as it is an isolation tool. This can help root out potential third-party software conflicts or login items.

If the issue does not occur in Safe Mode, check the section in that article titled: If an issue doesn't happen in safe mode for the steps to solve this.

If the issue is also occurring in safe mode, please test if the issue is also occurring in a newly created unmodified test user.  This article will help: Add a user or group on Mac - Apple Support

Let us know if the issue only occurs in your main administrator user, but not the test user, or if it's occurring in safe mode or not.

Thanks.
