ipod classic not recognized by itunes

Hi guys!

I have huge problems with my ipod classic 2005 mod, and itunes.

Since the latest updates after nov 2024, my laptop no longer recognizes my ipod. I am using a hp laptop with windows 11 home on a hp lap 64 bit op system, and the following itunes version 12.13.0.9.

what is the problem here??

I would like to find a solution for "dummies", because i can not find something here to help me or on youtube.

Do we really ned apple music now and the apple device app for this to work??

A more bad and complex app for something so easy as itunes was, to be used now I have never emagined.

My ipod classic no longer holds the battery either, need to have a portable charger connected at all times too.....

so who can give me an easy list on what to do?? I hope some one here can help me out.
