Additional "How to 'handle' .m4a and WAV files in iTunes" question

I'd like to convert my .WAV files to .MP3/AICC.

Before I do, I'll use tt2 script ExportToFolder to make a backup of the WAV files.

Then I'll use tt2script ChangeFormat (?) to convert the WAV files in iTunes.

Question: How do I designate the files against which to run the script?

Thanks

Hi there.

Select the files that you want to process in iTunes. Select a track, use shift-click to extend the range. Use ctrl-click to add or remove an item from the selection. Or put everything that you want to process into a playlist, select the playlist, and if no specific tracks are selected the script will offer to process everything in the current list.

.wav to Apple Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC) is a lossless conversion, however if you plan to listen to tracks in non-Apple hardware you may file .mp3 more widely acceptable. The suggested script for this is called ConvertFormat.

Hi,

I've had a little rumage and in both cases these would appear to be errors relating to items that were in the selection when the script started running that are no longer valid. However the script is attempting to reference a track object, not a playlist, which is somewhat confusing. Were you making other adjustments to your library while the scripts were running?
