Error “This episode can’t be played on this device” when using Apple Podcast

I DO NOT have a vpn on. Tried quitting the app and checking the settings. Checked for updates. Tried downloading the episode. Nothing works. Other episodes are available as usual.

Curious: are other episodes of that same feed downloading OK? What's the name of the podcast feed? I'd like to try it myself.

It’s happening to me on Pushkin and I actually subscribe I turned off VPN, shut down phone and app. And still won’t work

My husband and I were both getting the same error on our own phones for the same podcast. This is the only thing that worked for me, opening it from the app store.

I want to make sure I understand the resolution you describe. See screenshots below. Can you please confirm this is the only thing you did differently?

This didn't work for me, restarting my phone. Anyone have any suggestions? It was working, now it won't play...
