Mac Mini M4 Running Warm...
I just got a Mac Mini M4 several months ago (running 15.3.1), updating from a late 2015 iMac. I've noticed that it runs pretty warm (140º and up, according to CleanMyMac X), even when it's asleep. I never hear the fans come on, so, wondering if the fans were faulty, I installed and configured "Macs Fan Control", which seems to do a good job of controlling the fans to keep the Mac cool (currently 106º) while the Mini is in use.
However, I rarely shut the mini down, and it will get warm to the touch while sleeping even with all users (me, my wife, and my son) logged out.
My concern is that the excessive heat will shorten the Mini's components. When I log back in, MFC will show the temp up around 165º and activate the fans full-blast.
Is this normal? Am I just being overly concerned? If it isn't normal, what should I do? I'm not the best with Activity Monitor, but can follow directions.
Thanks in advance.
