I just noticed my Mac mini I bought in 2019 is running hot.
Not just warm but I can feel the heat coming out of it.
I have it on an Origami shelf so its well ventilated & I
am always plugging in an Sd card or thumb drive.
Only have a monitor and plug for mouse connected
plus one SD card. Why would it suddenly get really hot?

I used to go to computer classes when I had a PC and learned from a former Microsoft employee. Wow did we get educated.

Check what is at the top at %CPU column in /Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor.app.
