Heating aid stops when I put in second AirPod

Hearing aid was working great. I was turning on different options and all of a sudden it only works with one AirPod in. As soon I put in the second one it stops. I have tried turning off hearing aid and then turning it back on again. Nothing.

Being consistent after the update install, it seems to be a bug. So...

Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

It’s an iPhone 11. Hearing aid feature quit working altogether until I did a software update. Then it started working again but only with one AirPod in. As soon as you put the second AirPod in, it stops. They worked perfect for about a month. I turned on conversation boost and something else. Then it only worked with one AirPod in. This morning it had stopped working altogether. I started the software update and as soon as it started to update the hearing aid features started working. I went to put the other AirPod in and it stopped. Take one out and it works over and over again.
