Left AirPod isn’t working

I’ve just gotten a new pair of airpods (first generation) and I’ve noticed that I wasn’t getting any audio from my left airpod. The left airpod would heat up alot while it’s in the charging case while my right airpod which works wouldn’t. I haven’t dropped the airpod or have caused any damage to it.
