Unable to set up LG 34SR65QC Display with Mac mini

I am considering buying either Mac mini or MacBook Pro to connect to a LG 34SR65QC monitor.., for word processing, editing photography, etc

will it work via only hdmi cable? Or better to use adapter and a thunderbolt cable?

also trying to confirm comparability with mac and this monitor…

thanks for any advice/ comments!

Looks like that display only has and supports HDMI input.

If the LG supplied HDMI cable does not provide the proper resolution and refresh rate from the Mac mini.

Then replace that cable with a short 3.3ft high speed 8K HDMI cable or a short 3.3ft high speed 8K USB-C to HDMI cable.

for an HDMI cable example: see > https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X4W3VF5/ref=sspa_dk_detail_4?

for a USB-C to HDMI cable example: see > https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXLDJV3Y/ref=sspa_dk_detail_6?
