LG QHD Monitor to Mac Mini Pro M2

I bought an LG monitor. The monitor came with the display port cable that has a sticker of 5K attached. The Mac mini pro does not have this connection. I did connect an HDMI cable and am currently transferring data over.

I have not tested the computer sound yet. I do have a display on the monitor, so I assume that will work. Is it best for me to use the display port and purchase an adapter to HDMI or should I use the display port and buy a thunderbolt adapter? If so, is that adapter the same as a USB – C adapter?

don't think hdmi will support as high res as the displayport

you need a thunderbolt 3 to displayport adaptor

problem with usb-c is that it's used by thunderbolt 3 and by usb 3 and usb 4

so saying usb-c alone is not enough you need an adaptor which is certified thunderbolt 3

You can use a USB-C to DisplayPort cable, such as:

It works with the computer's Thunderbolt/USB-C ports.
