How do I verify and report a text claiming suspicious Apple Pay activity on iPhone?

This might not be the place to ask this question… if it’s not, can someone point me in the right direction?? I reed a text claiming to be Apple just now. It says my Apple Pay acct might have been leaked and now someone is trying to charge approx $140.00 to my Apple Pay which I know is fraud because I have an iPhone but I don’t use Apple Pay.. I’d paste the msg here but I reported it as junk and it was deleted. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!p
