Thunderbolt Display to USB-C

I have a Apple Thunderbolt Display (original) that works perfectly with Macs with Mini DisplayPorts. When I try to use it on newer Macs using a dock or Apple's "Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2" adapter it doesn't work. At the moment I have only been able to check it with a MacBook Pro M1. I have done everything such as restarting, unplugging, scanning for displays etc. I am guessing it is an issue with the cord but it is joined to the back of the display.

The Thunderbolt Display's Octopus cable has been an issue (aging plus freyed) for proper connection to newer Mac devices.

Due to the new MacOS is very stringent with data via TB connection - any flutuation (loss) of data (from the cable) will result in "non function Thunderbolt Display."

You can just omit the usage of the original cable (but please do NOT cut if off leterally).

A quick workaround will be -- using another TB 1/2 cable (needs to be Thunderbolt Certified, Apple made 0.5m and 2m) for the connection:

PS: These TB 1/2 cables seem to be more expensive nowadays.

See below: I used my MBA as visual - MBP should work as the same.
