Why can't I find the "Take a Hearing Test" option on my AirPods?

I have a new iPhone ProMax with the latest software loaded, and AirPods 4 with the latest firmware. I have followed every tip I have found here except for going back to an old version of iOS, and "Take a Hearing Test" STILL doesn't show where it is supposed to. I can find everything else — adjustments to the AirPods, software for analyzing the hearing tests I can't execute, you name it — but NOT that. Charging the AirPods, pairing them with the phone and putting them into my ears does not help. Un-pairing them and doing it over does not help. And yes, I'm in the U.S.

6x6 - you are wrong. I also own iPod Pro 4 and I am looking at a hearing test option right here in front of me.

BTW, there is no AirPod Pro 4 or iPod Pro 4 (which you say you have). Are you referring to one of these perhaps?

  • AirPod 4
  • AirPod Pro 2

Which do you have?
